Ott & Hunter is happy to announce an evening with local favorites Bigfoot Unicorn---experience some mind-blowing music performed by these local heroes right here in our cabaret room - a must see show!

Bigfoot Unicorn is a genre-bending cello and percussion duo with Gideon Freudmann and Rachman Ross playing music that that incorporates funk, jazz, blues and plenty of surprises.

Gideon Freudmann, cellist/composer/songwriter, uses effects pedals creating loops and extended technique to take the cello into new sonic territory. He has toured in four continents, redefining the cello for over thirty years. He also leads the Whidbey Island String Trio, performs live soundtracks for silent films, and composes music for dance, film and theatre. He is a contributor to NPR's All Things Considered, This American Life and a TEDtalk speaker. The Boston Globe said, “Taking a modern artist's approach to the four-stringed instrument, Gideon Freudmann has brought the cello to a new realm.”

Gideon teams up with Rachman Ross, an LA session drummer whose musical intuition, telepathy, groove and outstanding skills set him in a class of his own. Together they segue easily from fiendish funk to ambient moods, slippery blues and shimmering grooves.
