Sarah Clarke/Galen Clark Trio - 8 PM Show

Ott & Hunter is the place to be as our cabaret room comes alive with a special double‑show featuring vocalist Sarah Clarke (The Motet; Portugal. The Man; Outer Orbit) joining forces with keyboardist Galen Clark (Subtonic; Anna Tivel; Outer Orbit) and the endlessly inventive Micah Hummel on drums (Subtonic; Anna Tivel; Quickly Quickly). Together, they craft an intimate, soul‑forward experience that feels both deeply personal and effortlessly alive.

Expect a set that moves with natural grace between stripped‑down funk, raw, groove‑driven soul, and lush, heart‑stirring ballads. Clarke’s warm, expressive voice flows like a current—gliding over Galen’s shimmering keys and Micah’s propulsive, shape‑shifting rhythms. Their interplay creates moments of quiet vulnerability, sudden lift, and full‑tilt swing, the kind of musical conversation that makes a room lean in and stay there.

Sarah Clarke is a songwriter and vocalist, born and raised in Portland, Ore.  Known for her power, range and dynamic performances, Sarah exudes a subtle mastery of her craft that leaves her audiences craving more.
Sarah gained widespread recognition touring North America with her band Dirty Revival, San Francisco based soul, psych-rock band Con Brio, indie-rock Grammy winners Portugal. The Man and has continued to wow audiences as the newest full-time member of the Colorado based funkateers, The Motet.  When not on the road, Sarah can be seen with the funk unit Outer Orbit, which draws from the best of Portland’s deep pool of talent (featuring various band members from Ghost Note, Allen Stone, Gino Vannelli and more) as well as having performed alongside artists such as George Clinton, Ghost Note and many more.

Galen Clark is a keyboardist, songwriter, producer, and educator based in Portland, OR. He leads the soul funk collective Outer Orbit and the genre bending group Trio Subtonic and he is 1/3 of the NW collaboration Patterns Fly with D'Vonne Lewis and Andy Coe. He has toured and collaborated with artists such as Anna Tivel, Sarah Clarke, Sleater-Kinney, A Love Electric, Jessica Lurrie, Scott Pemberton, Dan Balmer and shared the stage with with artists such as Nicole McCabe, Cyrus Nabipoor, Saeeda Wright, Jack Radsliff, Mel Brown and more.

Micah Hummel is a seasoned jazz drummer gone rogue. After finishing his music degree in 2016, he started branching out of the jazz idioms and found himself playing nearly every style of music under the moon. Since graduating school, he has traveled all over the world to share his artistic voice with artists such as quickly, quickly, George Colligan, Anna Tivel, Gabriel Kahane, and Sama Dams to name a few. Although his jazz roots are always present in his sound, Micah is a truly versatile drummer that has let his curiosity in a vast variety of genres guide his musical path.
After moving to the PNW, Micah has become one of the top call drummers for many genres. Whether you hear him on quickly, quickly's debut singer-songwriter album or Anna Tivel's experimental tender folk records, you will recognize his jazz-adjacent sound on over 25 recorded projects.
